October 29, 2025 – From PAIS SNAP/TANF Application landing page: Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, SNAP benefits are suspended for the month of November, and November SNAP benefits will not be issued. Your case status may indicate SNAP benefits issued for November; however, benefits are approved but not funded. Cash benefits, such as General Assistance or TANF, are not affected by the shutdown and will be paid. To locate a Food Distribution pantry near you in Hawaii, the Hawaii Foodbank has a Food Assistance map for Oahu. This link includes Distribution points for Kauai, Maui, and Hawaii Island.
The Pantry is a resource working with local farmers.
