I usually go to Waikiki in the evening for a show or concert, like at Blue Note Hawaii or venturing through International Market Place . When was the last time you visited the Royal Hawaiian Center? There are lots of dining and shopping options throughout the neighborhood…as well as places to sightsee. This reminds me to see the latest designs at 88 Tees (they’ve got two brick-and-mortar spots to shop at on Kuhio and on Kalakaua) soon.

June 30, 2024 – Oahu is generally pet-friendly and I noticed one dog and its owner have a happy day in the shade! I asked if I could take their picture (this two-and-one-half year old will be a new Mom) before making this. The man moved to Hawaii in the 1970’s when he was stationed with the Military and has lived here ever since. Thanks for the chat!
June 30, 2024 – It was a clear and calm day along the shoreline of Waikiki Beach. When there are more than a dozen sailboats are out, it’s a signal to me of ideal weather for the rest of us on the beach!
June 30, 2024 – Sorry about the missing bits in the sky and other places in the image. I learned about size deduction (of an image) can impact the end quality; this fenced section of walkway along the Waikiki shoreline near Barefoot Beach Cafe near Queen’s Beach was new to my eyes. The erosion of the ground beneath the sidewalk caused the sidewalk to collapse. I don’t know how long the area has been fenced off. The Cafe IS open for business – Aloha to its owners and patrons!
June 30, 2024 – There are a few lookouts along Diamond Head Road and when the surf conditions are great, good luck finding parking! And luck was on our side on this afternoon. Bought lunch nearby at Aroma Italia and sat on the wall to look-out at the surfers and other watersports-persons below…
