Ariana Grande has added her voice to the growing calls for former President Donald Trump’s impeachment following his recent military strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The pop star shared a statement from Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on her Instagram Stories over the weekend, publicly backing the lawmaker’s argument that Trump’s actions constitute a violation of the U.S. Constitution and Congressional War Powers.
Ocasio-Cortez’s statement, posted to X on June 22, condemned Trump’s “disastrous decision” to bomb Iran without congressional approval, calling it “grounds for impeachment.”
The controversial airstrikes took place on June 21, with Trump boasting that U.S. forces had “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear capabilities. While full details of the damage remain unclear, the unilateral decision has drawn sharp criticism from lawmakers and activists alike.
Grande, known for her outspoken political views, has frequently clashed with Trump over issues including LGBTQ+ rights and gun control. Her latest public stance aligns her with over 100 other celebrities who have signed open letters opposing the former president’s policies.
Meanwhile, Grande continues her Hollywood rise, with her role as Glinda in Wicked Part Two set for release this November, alongside rumors of her involvement in Meet the Parents 4, slated for 2026.
