Katy Perry proved once again that the show must go on — even when chaos erupts mid-performance.
During her June 9 stop in Sydney on the Lifetimes Tour, Perry was performing her hit “Hot N Cold” when an overzealous fan suddenly leapt onstage and threw an arm around her. Startled but unfazed, the pop star quickly moved away as the man danced erratically — even performing a Fortnite move — before being tackled by security.
“There’s never going to be another show like this,” Perry quipped to the audience, embracing the moment with a smile. “So just enjoy it, Sydney.”
As the intruder was escorted offstage by four security guards, Perry picked up the song without missing a beat, proving her professionalism once again.
This wild incident follows a string of headline-making concert moments for the singer. In May, she humorously called out a fan at her Las Vegas show for allegedly DMing her fiancé, Orlando Bloom. And in a separate onstage moment, she narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction during “Part of Me” when her cone bra began to slip mid-run.
Perry’s Lifetimes Tour continues June 10 at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena — hopefully with fewer surprises.
