Here are a few events on Oahu celebrating the Lunar New Year:

 

Windward Mall – Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., they’ll have traditional Lion Dance through out the mall and feature Master Chinese calligraphy artist Ina Chang

SALT at Our Kaka’ako – Saturday, January 21, 2023, beginning at 11 a.m., with a Lion Dance and Martial Arts demonstrations

 

 

Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center – Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 10 a.m., they’ll host a kid-friendly Year of the Rabbit celebration with a Lion Dance at 10:30 a.m.

Ward Village – Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Lion Dance and a Calligraphy event at South Shore Market

Ala Moana Center’s Center Stage – Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 3 p.m. – Hawaii Dong Fang Art Troupe, featuring traditional Chinese music and dance

Royal Hawaiian Center – Sunday, January 22, 2023 – Lunar New Year Activations: 5 p.m. Long Fung Physical Club in the Royal Club then 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. through out the Center

 

Hawaii Kai Towne Center – Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Lion Dance and Martial Arts demonstrations

Kahala Mall – Saturday, January 28, 2022, beginning at 6:30 p.m. – View the Moon for the New Year with Nick Bradley of Stargazers of Hawaii

 

Ka Makana Ali’i – Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. – Lion Dance with shop blessings, Kung Fu demonstrations, traditional Chinese folk music

International Market Place – Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Lion Dance roaming on Levels 1, 2, and 3 with Educational Presentation in their Queen’s Court; Traditional Chinese Calligraphers from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. | Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. – Moon viewing through telescope on Grand Lanai
