(Photo Gallery) Art at the Capitol 2023

April 14, 2023 – I took a walk around the 14th Annual “Art at the Capitol” in Downtown Honolulu. Hawaii’s “Art in Public Places” program offers hundreds of paintings, sculptures, and other mixed media art pieces from the Hawaii State Art Museum’s collection to be displayed and enjoyed!

While it’s awesome to house and preserve art through the generations, it’s important for all persons to have access to said art 🙂 It inspires and it helps us to each aspire to tap into our own creativeness. I am a fan of Jean Charlot so really get giddy when I see his works in real life.

Bonus! My high school art teacher Mr. Sidney Yee’s painting was on display in one of the offices so I took a few pictures and was able to see up close his work. Very awesome!
