Lou Ferrigno discovered body building and overall fitness as a means to gain control in his life and purpose. As a kid, it was comic books and its fantastically drawn superheroes like “Spider-Man” and “The Incredible Hulk” that captured his imagination.
What he noted was how The Hulk was strong without a costume! Over time, the physical training and transformation would then lead to entering body building competitions, in an era when the sport was still getting a foothold in mainstream understanding and sponsorship.
These season, Lou Ferrigno continues to keep fitness at the forefront of his lifestyle. He also looks forward to meeting up with fellow comic book, TV, and movie fans at Other Realms Bookstore on Sunday, October 11, 2026, his first Hawaii in-store comic book signing appearance. Chee Hoo! Books will be on hand as an official CGC Signature Series and Witness Services facilitator.
