Kristen Kelly of the Hawaii State DLNR (Department of Land and Natural Resources), Division of Aquatic Resources knows how it sounds! “Marine debris” is out there on someone else’s beach, shoreline, or backyard. What I realized it the more we understand how the person-made items arrive in the water, the more thoughtful we can be about how we shop, recycle, and generally create less of a carbon footprint.
It’s not an overnight change though it’s one shift in our daily lifestyles that will make a difference in our collective future!
