Born in Honolulu, and raised in Kaneohe, KATHY WITH A K is helping local listeners unwind with Hawaii’s Relaxing Favorites from 9am to 3pm weekdays.
Her on-air career began with fill-in work at Radio Free Hawaii, where she was later featured with Sheriff Norm on a Saturday morning countdown, the “Hawaiian Island Music Report”. Through the 1990’s, she continued to work a variety of shifts, from overnights on Krater 96, to weekends then days on KQMQ.
You probably recognize her voice, and on-air moniker during her 20 years of experience on Hawaii’s airwaves across KSSK, 939 Jamz and I-94.
Her hobbies include video editing, creating podcasts about Hawai’i, taking walks that turn into hikes, and traveling.
