Josh Homme Opens the Door to a Kyuss Reunion: “It’s Possible”

Nearly three decades after Kyuss disbanded, frontman Josh Homme is signaling that a long-awaited reunion might finally be on the table.

Speaking to Kyuss World host Nathan Lawver in Madison, Wisconsin, Homme admitted he’s been thinking about the iconic desert rock group’s unfinished business. “I’ve thought about it many times,” Homme revealed. “It always left me with a strange feeling… You wanna set things right.”

Homme, who once famously vowed to never do a reunion or sequel, has softened his stance in recent years. Though he initially supported his former bandmates’ Kyuss Lives! project, legal disputes over the band’s trademark strained relationships. But now, Homme says he harbors no negativity toward anyone involved. “None of that stuff matters. So, yeah, it’s possible,” he confirmed.

Kyuss, whose heavy, sun-baked riffs helped define the stoner rock genre in the early ’90s, has remained a cult favorite. Fans have long speculated about a reunion, especially as Homme’s other band, Queens of the Stone Age, continues to thrive.

For now, Homme is busy with QOTSA’s Catacombs Tour, but Kyuss fans just got the clearest signal yet — never say never.
