AJ Croce has toured his own original music for decades. His start in music began at birth with his mother, Ingrid Croce, a singer-songwriter, and his father, also a singer-songwriter-musician, Jim Croce.
While his memories of his late father are hazy – as are so many of our memories as we go along – his father’s music was everywhere in AJ’s youth, in particular, his record library. Blues, gospel, rhythm and blues as well as pop, rock, jazz, everything one would need to get lost for a while.
AJ soon discovered he had a knack for songwriting and in his teen years, realized the way to have someone express the melodies and emotions he was crafting the way he felt them…was to be the person performing it.
