I think of the Met Gala as The Red Carpet Fashion Event of the year.
In the U.S., it’s like the Super Bowl for football, the Stanley Cup for ice hockey, the Oscars for film, the Grammys for music…it’s currently the height of haute couture AND they have a seasonal theme! It’s fantasy or maybe more fantastical?
Everyone expresses themselves via their clothing choices, however small and subtle.
So much of what’s featured will never translate to the everyday office or campus though the inspiration it can generate 🙂
